New single HELIANTHUS out!

On a post on social media, Laivera wrote the following about the song:

”Helianthus is an anthem for empowerment – for women and men alike. It speaks of post-awakening glory. I know that at the moment many people are experiencing their own personal awakenings in various ways and i have to say this: For all of us comes a time when we realise we don’t have to put up with the world’s expectations of us anymore. Everything we’ve lived the past one year has made it even more obvious for more and more people.

Personally, for too long i had been trying to live my life going after my dreams but not strongly enough as i was worrying about crashing eggshells, making noise, that i might upset someone with what i say or how i come across.

Since i left my home country my personal emancipation and liberation around how i live my life by what i believe in has been my sole focus. At some point i said ”fuck those damn eggshells i’ve been tiptoeing around”.

Writing the song i wanted to let other people know how wonderful it is on the other side and how worth it it was to leave behind situations and people who wanted me to give up everything to be their nothing. I blossomed when i threw away the masks people wanted me to wear – and usually it was one specific mask – the ”don’t make noise” mask.

I had to empower myself to make this happen and once i did there was no going back and it felt wonderful to finally know who i am and what i want for myself. Waking up to our true identity and desires can be scary. Suddenly you start gravitating towards new things and other things don’t speak to you like they once did. This is good, it is change. It is an awakening and when i was going through it i was feeling very lonely. It felt like no one i knew had been there before and i vowed to speak about my awakening and my life after that when i would be on more solid ground – just because i don’t want other people to feel alone in their own personal awakening. So if you are there at the moment, know you are not alone. I love you. You’ll be fine. In fact, you’ll be glorious!”
